Founder and president of Kincaid Communications LLC in Springfield, MO, since 2014, Mr. Kincaid established his public relations firm after nearly 40 years in higher education. Providing a variety of services to clients, his company offers public relations counsel, crisis communications services, writing services, marketing solutions and governmental relations strategy.

Formerly with Missouri State University between 1986 and 2014, Mr. Kincaid most recently served as chief of staff and assistant to the president for university and government relations between 2005 and 2014. His tenure in public relations, marketing and governmental relations also included appointments at Emporia State University and Phillips University. During those years, Mr. Kincaid notably counseled CEOs and governing board members and has since been working with educational institutions, non-profits and other organizations and businesses through Kincaid Communications LLC.

Named to the State Lottery Commission by the Missouri Governor Jay Nixon in 2014, Mr. Kincaid has been serving as the chair of the organization since 2018. Since November 2014, he has also been serving as the executive director of Jobs for America's Graduates in Missouri. He formerly served on the board of directors of Non-Profit Missouri for three years beginning in 2014, was on the board of directors, and served as president of the board of directors of the Visually Impaired Preschool in Springfield between 1989 and 1993.

Mr. Kincaid is a longstanding member of the Society of Professional Journalists, the Public Relations Society og America (PRSA), and the Southwest Missouri chapter of PRSA. He is also a longtime member of the Council for the Advancement and Support Education, where he received multiple awards between 1976 and 2014. In 2009, he was elected to the college of fellows of the Public Relations Society of America.

In 2017, Mr. Kincaid authored his first book, "E. Leon: A Perfectly Imperfect Dad." It is the story about his own experiences of optimism, generosity, perseverance, overcoming challenges, finding and pursuing a career and the tremendous power of humor. It is also a story about how to earn the title of "Dad" from your children.

Honored with a 2014 CASE District VI Virginia Carter Smith Award, 2006 Marvin D. "Swede" Johnson Achievement Award and 2001 CASE District Service Award, Mr. Kincaid has also been showcased in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who in Finance and Business.

Initially planning to become a journalist, after taking a few public relations courses in college, Mr. Kincaid changed his course of study. He notably holds a Bachelor of Science in mass communications from Phillips University and was accredited in public relations in 1990 by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
