NEW YORK, NY, February 26, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Jae French with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Jae French celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Jae French is a longtime sculptress whose artwork has long been inspired by European and New York City culture. Her work, which combines both surrealism and sensuality, has been included in approximately 40 exhibitions across the United States, as well as in Africa, Spain, Italy and Greece. Her work has also appeared in such places as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum of Art and several embassies, and has also been included in a traveling group exhibition entitled "Milestone for Peace" that will soon become a permanent exhibition in the Jerusalem Art Museum.

Designing monumental sized sculptures, Jae French uses the ancient practice of "cere perdu," which means "lost wax." Modeling her sculptures in wax, she then encases the finished wax sculptures in a mixture of ground brick and plaster. The mold is then baked in an oven, which melts the wax away and leaves a negative into which the molten bronze is poured. The day after the pouring, the mold is cracked open. Jae French's designs have also morphed into a second business, creating one-of-a-kind miniature sculptures that she then turns into earrings, brooches, pendants and cufflinks. As a result, she established The Happy Sculptress Corporation with locations in Newport, RI, New York City and Coconut Creek, FL. She also established a company called Wearable Art.

Ms. French is also the director of the Dicapo Opera Company, producer of the 2003 play "Say Goodnight Gracie," and associate producer of both Broadway and off-Broadway shows. She has been a longtime producer and member of the Broadway League Theater since 1990.
During her career, Jae French has been involved as a lecturer and developer of an art therapy program, has served as a pro bono art therapist, English as a second language teacher and reader for the blind, and founder of Jae's Arc Foundation. She also spent time as a coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club and has been active with The Whitney-Harkness Society. Jae French is a longstanding member of the Preservation Society of Newport, the Redwood Library, the Metropolitan Opera Club, the Dutch Treat Club in New York and the Living Heritage Society.

Jae French's work in art therapy philanthropy has led to her connecting with a local hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College and Ithaca College, where she has been able to provide scholarships for training in the melding of physical therapy and art therapy. She has also been responsible for developing a campaign to raise awareness and money for the renovation of the neglected Stanford White Theater that was once famous for showcasing famous actors from the turn of the century.

Recognized for her artwork with press coverage in multiple publications, including the Hellenic Times International and After Dark Magazine in New York City, El Heralda in Mexico City, Mexico, Chicago Sun Times, Times Picayune in New Orleans and Costa Blanca News in Spain, Jae French has also been seen on television on The Joe Franklin Show's "The Making of a Successful Artist" and in a video made for television by Gurnieri Film Production titled "The World of Jae." She has been included in the 60th and 61st editions of Who's Who in America, the 27th and 28th editions of Who's Who of American Women and several editions of Who's Who in American Artists and Who's Who in the World of Women.

Jae French studied sculpture under Evangelous Moustakis in Greece, Manolo in Spain, Jacques Lipschitz in Italy and Bruno Luccesi in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Pace University in New York City.
Married to John H. French II since 2001, Jae French now divides her time between Rhode Island, New York and Florida. When she isn't busy with her art business, she enjoys traveling with her husband. She also enjoys staying active by ballroom dancing, walking, hiking and playing pickle ball and tennis.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Jae French has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
