With 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Hill has been designated as professor emeritus of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey since 1997. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a professor and the director of surgical oncology from 1981 to 1996, holding the title of American Cancer Society professor of clinical oncology from 1989 to 1992. He previously excelled as a professor and the chair at Marshall University from 1976 to 1981, a professor at Washington University from 1973 to 1976, and an assistant professor at the University of Colorado from 1967 to 1972, for which he held the post of an instructor since 1966. In addition to his primary roles, Dr. Hill has served as an adjunct professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, the interim president of Sterling College, and the faculty president of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Hill initially pursued an education at Yale University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1953. He continued his studies at Harvard University, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine in 1957. Following these accomplishments, he completed an internship at New York Hospital from 1957 to 1958, as well as a fellowship and residency in surgery at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School between 1958 and 1966. After obtaining some hands-on experience, he enrolled at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, receiving a Master of Arts in 1999. Dr. Hill concluded his academic efforts at Drew University in 2005, accepting a Doctor of Letters.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hill has been recognized for his contributions. He has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.
