At the start of his career, he served with the United States Navy for three years before becoming a production foreman for Signet Controls. Over the years, Mr. Arata has found success with the Hyster Corporation, Tektronix and John Fluke Manufacturing Company as well.
An expert in his field, Mr. Arata has earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Oregon State University. In order to remain aware of changes in his field, he is affiliated with the Institute of Packaging Professionals' National Honors Awards committee, the Recertification Committee and the National Packaging Committee. During his spare time, Mr. Arata contributes to his community through the United Way of Portland and the East County Multnomah Republication Central Commission.
In a career filled with highlights, Mr. Arata believes that being nominated for lifetime honorary membership with the Institute of Packaging Professionals remains among his proudest moments. He was also celebrated by two chapters of the Society of Packing Engineers. For his outstanding work, he has been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in the World. Looking toward the future, Mr. Arata intends to continue enjoying his retirement.
