Prior to obtaining his current role, he worked as a geologist with Ranchers Exploration and Development Corp., now part of Hecla Mining Co., in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from 1976 to 1986. Earlier in his career, he served as a geologist with the Azcon Corp., a subsidiary of Consolidated Gold Fields Plc., in Denver from 1973 to 1976.
Mr. Garrison began his career with the Untied States Navy, serving from 1961 to 1965. Following this opportunity, he pursued an education at the University of Missouri in Rolla, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1970. He continued his studies with the University of Missouri, earning a Master of Science in 1974. In an effort to remain up to date with developments in his field, Mr. Garrison maintains affiliation with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Garrison has been recognized for his many achievements and accomplishments and has received a number of honors and accolades for his contributions. For excellence in his field, he has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the 20th edition of Who's Who in the West and the first edition of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
