Charles D. Peters Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Peters with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Peters celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. With over 50 years of professional excellence to his credit, Mr. Peters is currently active as the chief project Inspector of Antillean Engineers Inc. in Saint Croix. Holding this position since 2001, he has also excelled as the president and a product manager with the design group since 1991. During this time, he also served as the chief project architect for the Hope Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Educational Complex in Saint Croix from 1997 to 1999. Prior to these appointments, Mr. Peters held the role of the president with Caribbean Drywall & Acoustic Inc. in Annapolis, Maryland, from 1989 to 1991 and a project supervisor for Pate/Martin Architects AlA in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from 1986 to 1987.

Working as the senior architectural draftsman with Richard E. Barringer, FAIA, and John R. Rollings, AlA, in Saint Croix from 1983 to 1985, Mr. Peters held the same position with Rolling Nielsen Architects & Urban Planners in Saint Croix from 1976 to 1983. During this time, he graduated from the North American School of Drafting in 1979, having previously completed coursework with the same academic institute from 1971 to 1974. Earlier in his career, Mr. Peters found success as a project supervisor for the Seventh-Day Adventist New Church in Antigua from 1967 to 1969 and with the residential construction department of the Milton Jackson Construction Co. in Antigua from 1965 to 1967.

In addition to his primary career responsibilities, Mr. Peters has provided his skills and resources as the chief of drafting for the underground district for the Peter Kiewit Corp. Also known as an accomplished photographer, he continues to remain involved in his creative efforts as a freelance photo journalist. From 2007 to 2013, he held the posts of the chief building construction inspector and a construction project manager as appointed by the governor of the United States Virgin Islands. Outside of his professional path, Mr. Peters has devoted his time as a member of the coastal zone commission for the United States Virgin Islands.

Furthermore, Mr. Peters maintains affiliation with several professional organizations. A member of the American Institute of Architects and the American Design Drafting Association, he has maintained membership with the American Institute of Design and Drafting, the Construction Specifications Institute and the Southern Building Code Congress International. Moreover, Mr. Peters is associated with the International Freelance Photographers Organization, Professional Photographers of America and the St. Thomas-St. Johns Art Council.

As a professional Photographer, Mr. Charles D. Peters, H.D.D. has been the recipient of several national awards, given by the Washington Post and the St. Thomas St John Art Council of the Virgin Islands. The International Library of Photography and the Photographer's Edge Inc. has published his photographic works. On January 5, 2004, International Freelance Photographers Organization (lFPO) and the American Image Press presented him with the lifetime distinction of honor in the art and science of photography and, the honorary degree of excellence. (Master Photographer regnant) M.P.R On November 1, 2006 he was accredited with a Master Photographer Diploma, which earned him the degree of distinction Honorararios and the title A.M.P. On the 15 day February 2008, Mr. Peters was inducted to the Hall of Fame of the (lFPO) which earned him an honorary degree of distinction in the Photographic Arts and sciences and the title, Charles D. Peters, H.D.D.

On June 5, 2011 Mr. Peters presented a photographic exhibit celebrating 35 years of photographing St. Croix at the Fort Frederik Museum on St Croix, USVI. Mr. Peters donated a collection of photographs to the Antigua and Barbuda Museum in August of 2013.
