Antonino F. Badalamenti has accrued over two decades of practiced experience in academia, demonstrating his affinity for teaching at myriad institutions across New York State.

Driven by a passion to aid and educate others, Dr. Badalamenti has accrued over two decades of practiced experience in academia, demonstrating his affinity for teaching at myriad institutions across New York State. Commencing his career as a substitute teacher at Marymount Manhattan College, he went on to serve the John Jay College of Criminal Justice as an adjunct associate professor in the department of mathematics and technology. Likewise, he also served the Borough of Manhattan Community College as an adjunct lecturer and professor in the department of mathematics and a research and program development assistant to Dr. Lillian Nash for 30 years. Dr. Badalamenti served as a research assistant in web-based statistics for the New York Preservation Archive Project in New York in 2007.

Highly educated, Dr. Badalamenti holds multiple prominent degrees. First receiving an Associate of Arts in liberal arts from the Borough of Manhattan Community College, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and science from Marymount Manhattan College and Master of Science in education and mathematical instruction from Iona College. Soon thereafter, he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Andragogy in Mathematics from Berkeley/Conjunctione Capella University. Dr. Badalamenti holds a training certification license from the Gemological Institute of America, and he is a licensed per diem educator for first through 12th grade.

During his tenure, Dr. Badalamenti has contributed his expertise to myriad publications, including the East Side Express, Our Town and the Journal of the American Medical Association. He also authored the special edition of "Quantitative Reasoning" through Pearson Education in 2014, as well as "You Got the Vibe" in 2008 and "Preserving New York: Winning the Right to Protect a City's Landmarks" in 2007. Dr. Badalamenti also conducted database research on in-vitro fertilization.

Civically involved as well, Dr. Badalamenti has volunteered at the Church of Padre Pio, the Archdiocese of New York, St. Joseph's Indian School, and Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America Inc. A charity auction event planner, he has also maintained involvement with the Roman Catholic Church and was the founder and leader of the All Night Vigil of Our Lady of Good Counsel in New York City. Likewise, he has been a benefactor and co-founder of the First Church of Saint Pio in Athurugiriya, Sri Lanka, as well as a benefactor of several other religious organizations. In addition to these endeavors, Dr. Badalamenti is the president of the Italian Club of the Borough of Manhattan Community College and has maintained membership with the New York State Mathematics Association and the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute of the City University of New York.

Recognized for his philanthropic work on myriad occasions, Dr. Badalamenti cites the highlights of his career to be educating his students, particularly his English as a Second Language students. Helping them understand globalization and its issues brings home the need to master their courses in order to be competitive. He seeks to create a collaborative learning environment of inquiry, which has served his students well. This approach engages students not only in their own learning but also in the learning of their fellow students, all while building confidence and removing their own barriers to learning. He believes he succeeds when his students succeed, and he will always go the extra mile for them. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Badalamenti is proud of his activity within his local church, having been inspired by Pope Benedict and his welcoming of diversity within the church.

A native of New York City, Dr. Badalamenti is married and enjoys collecting gemstones and antiques in his spare time. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue transforming the lives of his students while serving his community with God's grace and direction.
