An expert in his field, Dr. Kash initially earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English from Vanderbilt University. He concluded his studies with a Doctor of Philosophy in folklore from Indiana University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Kash is affiliated with the Tennessee and American Folklore Societies and Pi Kappa Delta, where he has served as secretary and treasurer since 1988.
For his excellence in the field, Dr. Kash has been honored with features in Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who in the South and Southwest. Likewise, he has been recognized as a Distinguished Toastmaster by Toastmasters International. Looking toward the future, Dr. Kash intends to experience the continued success of his career at Tennessee Technological University.
Dr. Kash married Bettye Ruth Choate on 7/26/1970. They have two daughters: Heather Batchelor and Holly Schauer, four grandsons: Brett, Blake, Matthew and David and two sons-in-law: Michael and Aaron.
