Rosemary Bazylewicz-Murtha Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    FOX POINT, WI, March 12, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Rosemary Bazylewicz-Murtha with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Bazylewicz-Murtha celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. A leading expert in the industry, Ms. Bazylewicz-Murtha was a qualiity management coordinator at Aurora West Allis Medical Center from 2008 to 2017, and nursing case manager at Columbia-St. Mary's from 2009 to 2017. Prior to obtaining these positions, she was the clinic manager of the Internal Medicine Clinic, and Center for Senior Health and Longevity at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. In 1992 through 2003 she was the manager of the Johnston Primary Care Clinic located in the Johnston Community Health Center. Prior to moving to the Johnston Clinic she managed the In and Outpatient Dialysis Units and inpatient Nephrology Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital from 1977 to 1992. Her career began at St. Mary's Hospital where she began as a staff nurse, on a surgical unit, and then became the dialysis unit educator, and intensive care unit clinician.

Ms. Bazylewicz-Murtha began her career as a student at St. Mary's School of Nursing, where she received a diploma in 1968. She continued her studies with Marquette University, completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1982. After obtaining some experience in the field, she concluded her education with the University of Phoenix, earning a Master of Business Administration in health care administration in 2005.

A respected voice in the field, Ms. Bazylewicz Murtha has been affiliated with a number of community and professional organizations. A past President and Vice President of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American association of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians, she has presented numerous posters and presentations on Development of Self and Home Dialysis Programs. Later while working in Quality she presented posters on work done with Resuscitation Measures, STEPP Program, and implementation of Advance Directives in the Critical Care Areas. She has also served on the YMCA Community Board, and on the board of Family Care Organization, and the Milwaukee Area Technical College for the Dialysis Technician Program, and the Medical Assistant Program, She currently is a volunteer for the Marketing Committee and the cupping clinic at Core El Centro, an integrative therapy clinic that provides acupuncture, massage, aromatherapy, movement classes, food and nutrition classes, and kid's camp for children in the surrounding community.

Among her notable achievements, Ms. Bazylewicz-Murtha is most renowned for writing a grant proposal to the Bureau of Public Health to participate in a nation-wide diabetic collaborative. The grant was approved and her clinic participated from 2003 until its closing. Additionally, she facilitated the move of the Positive Health Clinic at Aurora Sinai Medical Center to the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, as well as the move of hospital-based clinics and laboratories to a separate system under the University of Wisconsin Faculty Clinics and Outpatient Laboratory. She also chaired the Shared Governance Management Council at Aurora Sinai Medical Center and was a member of the design team to incorporate one shared governance for all of Aurora Healthcare, and she was the moderator for preventative care innovations for ambulatory care. However, she is most proud of her work in Dialysis and the Johnston Primary Care Clinic. It is there where she was able to have the greatest positive impact on patients and her fellow colleagues.

Throughout her career, Ms. Bazylewicz-Murtha has been recognized for her contributions. She received the Aurora Quality Award for Team STEPPS at Aurora West Allis Medical Center and a Wisconsin Kidney Foundation Award for work done as a member of the Education Council for the Kidney Foundation. She has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the third edition of Who's Who Among Human Services Professionals, the fourth and fifth editions of Who's Who in American Nursing and the 24th edition of Who's Who in the Midwest.
