Ms. Woodring has been a freelance writer, author, and writing coach, publishing her first magazine article in 1990. She has remained as a corporate officer and consultant at J. N. Adams & Associates, Inc. since in 1982. She published the first volume of her Annabelle-Please-Don't-Tell! chapter-book series in 2014, and continues to add new books to that project, while completing her mainstream novel. In 2015, she began an auxiliary career of competitive ballroom dance, participating in official Dancesport competitions around the country. She enjoys coaching college and graduate students, and other adults, in writing and periodically conducts events to inspire younger students to pursue writing, reading, and other branches of the arts.
Previous positions include serving as a fellowship advisor and development office at Yale University; dissertation editor at Pennsylvania State University; management training director at First Union Bank's corporate headquarters in NC; corporate officer at Fortune Consultants of Charlotte, NC; adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University in NC; Manager of Training Design and Validation at Chemical Bank New York Trust, Inc. headquarters in NYC; human resources officer at The Conference Board in NYC; and a foster care caseworker at Dauphin County Child Care Agency.
Ms. Woodring holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University, a Masters of Arts from Columbia University (NYC), and additional credits in literature from University of South Carolina. Certified by the Association for Psychological Type, she has held memberships in the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, the American Psychological Association, National Dance Council of America, and the American Association of University Women. She has served on the boards of Charlotte Montessori School, Charlotte Latin School, and Radio Park Elementary School. She was chapter president of Sigma, Sigma, Sigma Sorority.
Ms. Woodring continues to be recognized and awarded for her contributions and accomplishments. She has been featured in numerous honors publications including multiple editions of Who's Who of American Women.
