Marshall "Rocky" Warren Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    COLFAX, CA, March 15, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Marshall "Rocky" Warren with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Warren celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Mr. Warren began his career of public service as an Army military police officer at Fort Benning, Georgia, and Fort Clayton, located in the Panama Canal Zone, beginning in 1974 and lasting until 1977. Including his time in the military, Mr. Warren has accumulated more than 33 years of law enforcement experience, and he spent the majority of those years as a patrol deputy, as well as an officer and corrections sergeant with the Placer Sheriff's Department in Auburn, CA. In 1997, Mr. Warren earned a promotion to sergeant, and remained at that rank until his retirement in 2003. In 1993, Mr. Warren established Warren Consulting, a police and civilian training company, in Colfax, CA. The company also offers expert witness services in the areas of use of force, agency policy, federal use of force case law, police practice, tactics and associated issues. He is qualified in numerous specialized training courses related to law enforcement. He is also an instructor-trainer in all physical skills.

During his tenure with the sheriff's department, Mr. Warren was a member of the special weapons and tactics team. He also served on the investigation division, and was a training manager and member of the dive search and rescue team. He taught defensive tactics, impact weapons and firearms, as well as taser, chemical agent and less-lethal weaponry, both for his own and other allied agencies. Mr. Warren teaches at Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center, and is a court-tested expert in firearms, suppressors, carotid control, physical force, police practices, chemical agents and taser, agency policies, federal use of force case law and corrections. Beginning in 1994, Mr. Warren also taught as an instructor and instructor-trainer at Los Rios College District in Sacramento, CA. In addition, he has taught at several other colleges, and has done training on contract.

Mr. Warren has been cited in the 54th edition of Who's Who in America. He has held an Associate of Arts from Sierra College since 1972. He has written three books, 14 articles for major police publications, and numerous short stories for collected works about law enforcement. He also holds two Bronze Medals of Valor for Police Work. Additionally, he was presented with a California Legislative Assembly Resolution for his accomplishments in law enforcement. Married to his wife Patricia, Mr. Warren has three children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, horseback riding, writing and firearms.
