Earlier in her career, she gained valuable experiences through nursing roles with Battle Creek Health Systems as a staff nurse in the operating room, Ascension Borgess Hospital as a staff nurse in the cardiac surgical unit, and Kalamazoo Valley Community College as a clinical instructor. In a career filled with highlights, she notes that obtaining her bachelor's degree while working full-time and raising a family was a standout achievement.
An expert in her field, Ms. Bowens holds an Associate of Applied Science from Kellogg Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, she has maintained affiliation with the American Nurses Association and the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses. Looking ahead, Ms. Bowens intends to experience the continued success of her career in nursing.
