With more than 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Stills has been the treasurer and chair of the Junior Urban League in Columbus, GA, since 1982. Prior to obtaining her current position, she was secretary of the Urban League Education Department from 1979 to 1984. Earlier in her career, she was vice president of the Urban League Guild in 1978. In addition to her primary roles, she has served as a committee member of the Boy Scouts of America and as a board member of the YMCA and the Tenth Street Community Center.

Ms. Stills began her career as a student at Alabama State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1966. She then joined Fort Valley State University, where she obtained a Master of Science in 1977. She subsequently completed postgraduate coursework with Columbus State University in 1978. Later in her career, she continued her studies with Troy State University, earning a Specialist of Education in 1991.

A respected voice in her industry, Ms. Stills has been an active leader in her community. She is a member of the American Association of University Women, where she has been treasurer of the Columbus branch since 1990, the Georgia Education Association, the March of Dimes, and the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, from which she received the Community Service Award in 1982. She has also been affiliated with the Alabama State University Alumni Association, the Fort Valley State University Alumni Association, the Ebonite Civic and Social Club, where she has been president since 1982, and gives a pageant and scholarships to senior girls, the Willie E. Hatch Leadership Study Club, Zeta Phi Beta, Phi Delta Kappa and Delta Sigma Theta.

Throughout her career, Ms. Stills has been honored for her achievements. The recipient of the Appreciation of Continental Societies Award, she also received the Recognition Award from the National Urban League. She was named Woman of Achievement by the Concharty Council of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America and an Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America. She has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the 48th edition of Who's Who in America, the third edition of Who's Who in American Education, and the 17th edition of Who's Who of American Women.
