Andrew Taylor Fisher Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    EVANSTON, IL, March 28, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Andrew Taylor Fisher with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Fisher celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Entering the field of information technology (IT) programming, technical writing, and databases in 1988 at a time when computers were expanding exponentially, Mr. Fisher wanted to integrate technology with what was happening in the real world. Over the years, he has worked for such organizations as Business Decisions Economics in Northbrook, Ill. as a programmer and a financial statistical analyst, Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, Ill. as a programming contractor and A.C. Nielsen in Bannockburn, Ill. as a programming consultant. Mr. Fisher has further found success with such companies as Abbott Laboratories, Healthcare Transformations and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Outside of his full-time career after gaining website training at DePaul, Mr. Fisher has excelled as a webmaster for the Nutrition for Optimal Health Association, the Hyde Park and Kenwood Interfaith Council and the Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice (UUSJ). Mr. Fisher has uploaded countless "photo websites" for friends and relatives to enjoy. Involved with the UUSJ for many years, he has additionally served as a commission director, the chairman of the environmental task force and the chair-elect since 2019. The organization notably works together to create a peaceful, just, and sustainable world with a mission to mobilize and amplify the voice of Unitarian Universalists in the national capital region.

A member of multiple professional and avocational organizations, Mr. Fisher has flourished as the founder and first president for the Students for Ecological and Environmental Development (SEED) at Northwestern University as well as a recording secretary and a webmaster for the Snowseekers Club. He is also affiliated with the Union of Concerned Scientists, the North Shore Choral Society, the Unitarian Church Evanston Choir, the Unitarian Church of Evanston Men's Group and Greenpeace, among others. Mr. Fisher has also maintained involvement in the arts, having participated in the Savoy Airs productions of Gilbert & Sullivan's "Iolanthe," "The Yeomen of the Guard," "The Pirates of Penzance" (Mr. Fisher was a pirate in Act 1 and a policeman in Act II) and "The Mikado."

Presented with a Fleet Championship Award for Cruising from Sheridan Shores Yacht Club in 2007, Mr. Fisher also accrued a First Place Trophy in 2004 and Second Place Trophy in 2003 from Art McGee Sailing Race. In 2000, he accepted the Arthur B. Hanson Rescue Medal for Safety at Sea from the Committee of the National Governor Body of Sport of Sailing for rescuing a distressed boater with some friends. In 1996, he received a Steve Sutton Memorial Award from the Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council. Mr. Fisher has been showcased in more than 30 editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in Finance and Business and Who's Who in the World.

In 1988, Mr. Fisher earned a Bachelor of Arts in computer studies from Northwestern University. He later concluded his education in computers at DePaul University, obtaining a degree in web development in 2001. In 2017, Mr. Fisher authored his first book, "The Lifelong Search for Truth: A Photo Autobiography."
