Ben A. Inserra Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Inserra has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the construction industry

PORT SAINT LUCIE, FL, March 28, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ben A. Inserra with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Inserra celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After serving as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, Mr. Inserra began working as a project administrator for Malan Construction Company in New York City, holding the role for two illustrious years. From there, he gained valuable experience in management through March Construction Company, Inc., as a project manager for 14 years before joining Schumacher and Forelle, Inc., where he served as vice president and director of construction management. With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, he has also served as a construction consultant from Bellmore, NY, since 1991, working in the Long Island and Westchester area.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Inserra has also lent his considerable expertise in engineering and construction to projects on a local, national and international level, including a church in Bellmore, where he co-chaired (pro-bono) a fundraiser that garnered two million dollars in one year. He also led the pro-bono fund-raising unit of a unit in Florida that sent medical teams to Central America, raising $50,000 three years in a row, as well as constructed a 500-gallon water tank in Central America. He worked for 10 years in Mexico as a construction manager and lent his expertise to the country of Honduras for 15 years, where he traveled with medical and dental teams to aid the local civilians.

Presently, Mr. Inserra is in the process of raising funds for his current church in Florida and remains dedicated to his community through the Bellmore and New York State Knights of Columbus organizations. Celebrating his 50th year in the Knights of Columbus this year, he is most proud of the contributions he has made to individuals and family-owned organizations since the 1970s. A former Grand Knight, he received a national award for his council and traveled to New Orleans to accept this prestigious honor. In addition, he is a 20-year member of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, where he is a tabled knight.

Raised by two parents who were immigrants from Italy, Mr. Inserra credits his profound success to their influence. His father, a barber, and his mother, a seamstress, pushed him to continuously improve himself. This influence not only reflected within his diligence; his brothers also benefitted from their parents' encouragement. His one brother is a successful engineer, and his other brother was a talented electronics technician. In addition to his parents, Mr. Inserra values the education he received from a young age. Attending Stuyvesant High School, he feels he was afforded the opportunity to pursue a wonderful education due to the quality of the New York City school system.

Attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the age of 16, he later graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science by the time he was 21 years old.
In light of his excellence in the field, Mr. Inserra has been recognized many times, earning a feature in the 28th edition of Who's Who in Finance and Industry. Looking ahead, he intends to continue lending his knowledge to those in need.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mr. Inserra has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.

"After re-reading the above I was reminded of my first trip to Honduras and while waiting around the evening before going up the mountains to our town, I commented to the dentist in charge about how nice all the volunteers had been to me that day. He said, maybe they feel the same about you. A light went off in my head, which has never stopped shining. So to all the people who taught, or helped, or led, or assisted me in any way with all of my great endeavors, I would like to dedicate this award to them. It will help me keep smiling when the next request comes, and I can answer, "Here I am Lord."" -- Ben Inserra
