An accomplished listee, Mr. King celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Boasting a predilection for artistic endeavors from the time he was 5 years old, Mr. King desired to inspire students in the realm of art from a formative age. To prepare for his career, he attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1973. From there, he first served as a technical illustrator for the Lockheed Corp., now the Lockheed Martin Corp., in Houston, from 1973 to 1974. Subsequently, he transitioned to the role of chemical operator for E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. in La Porte, Texas, from 1974 to 1991. During this time, he attended the University of Houston, where he completed a Master of Arts in 1981. Later on in his career, Mr. King completed postgraduate coursework at the Art Institute of Houston from 1988 to 1989.

Delving into education, Mr. King served as an art educator at several schools in Houston, including Olle Middle School from 2000 to 2001, Dowling Middle School from 2001 to 2002, and M.B. Smiley High School from 2002 to 2004. Thereafter, he was an adjunct professor at Lone Star College-CyFair from 2003 to 2006, having subsequently acted as a presenter in the field and art educator at Crosby Middle School from 2004 to 2010.

Mr. King's artwork has been exhibited in several art galleries across the nation and abroad, including All Media in Omaha, Nebraska, the Upstream People Gallery, the Sharjah Art Museum in the United Arab Emirates, and Face Value in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He also participated in the National Juried Arts Competition and Exhibition in Winston-Salem, among other prominent competitions and galleries.

Maintaining affiliation with the National Art Education Association, the Texas Art Education Association and the Houston Art Education Association, Mr. King has accrued several accolades. In 1977, he was named a J.O. Patterson Fine Arts Scholar by the Church of God in Christ in Memphis, Tennessee, having subsequently won the Award of Excellence from Manhattan Arts International in New York City in 2003. In 2007, he won the President's Citation Award from the University of North Texas. Impressively, Mr. King was also highlighted in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who in the World.
