CHAPEL HILL, NC, March 29, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Dorothy Grover Bolton with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Bolton celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in 1953, Ms. Bolton went on to earn a Master of Education from the university in 1963. Most recently serving as an executive and writer for Ridge Associates in Cazenovia, NY, which she co-founded in 1973 until her retirement in 2000, she started out as a photographer's model for the Pat Allen Agency in 1945 and went on to work as director of religious education at St. Paul's Methodist Church from 1956 to 1960. From there, Ms. Bolton worked as a school psychologist at the Board of Educational Cooperative Services. She has also been an independent writer since 1965.

Ms. Bolton attributes her career trajectory to a natural progression involving training, learning material and writing. Though her career is punctuated with accomplishments, she is particularly proud of her work as an executive coach to managers of Fortune 500 companies. Serving in this capacity from 1980 to 2000, she coached managers whose underdeveloped interpersonal skills were blocking their advancement within their organizations.

Demonstrative of her considerable skill set, Ms. Bolton's written works, all co-authored by her husband Robert H. Bolton, include the Amazon Book Club Book of the Year "Social Styles, Management Styles," which was published in 1984 and has been translated into Japanese, Greek and Finnish. She also co-authored "Listen Up or Lose Out," as well as "What Great Trainers Do," both published in 2018. She maintains memberships with the Mayo Legacy, the Syracuse Alumni Association and the Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni Association. In light of her professional excellence, Ms. Bolton was honored in the 18th edition of Who's Who of American Women.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ms. Bolton has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
