Patricia Folmsbee Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Patricia Folmsbee retired from her role as a lead teacher of reading and language arts with the East Windsor Board of Education.

Previously, she also served the East Windsor Board of Education as an English as a second language coordinator and as a reading and language arts consultant. At the beginning of her career, Ms. Folmsbee found success as a teacher with the Chicopee Board of Education and the Air Force Dependents Schools.

A certified reading and language arts consultant, Ms. Folmsbee holds a Bachelor of Arts from Albertus Magnus College and a Master of Education from the University of Massachusetts. Subsequently, she completed postgraduate studies through her graduate alma mater. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she affiliated herself with the Connecticut and National Education Associations. During her spare time, Ms. Folmsbee contributed to her community through the town of South Hadley, MA, the Enfield Cultural Arts Commission and People to People International.

Though her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Folmsbee most fondly recalls her retirement party, as the recognition she received made her feel like she contributed to society. Due to her professional excellence, she earned features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women. Looking toward the future, Ms. Folmsbee intends to continue enjoying her retirement.
