After working for 50 years with Reichhold, John Gaither retired from his roles as the president and the chief executive officer.

After working for 50 years with Reichhold, Mr. Gaither retired from his roles as the president and the chief executive officer of the aforementioned company. He had served Reichhold Chemicals, Inc. as the vice president of international sales and marketing, the senior vice president, the vice president of the resins and binders division, the president of the reactive polymers division, the president of the emulsion polymers division, the executive vice president and the chairman of European operations. Though his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Gaither most fondly recalls being a part of the management buyout of Reichhold Industries, which was purchased from the Japanese company, DIC.
Mr. Gaither pursued an education at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He later concluded his studies with a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD. In order to contribute to changes in the field, Mr. Gaither is affiliated with the National Paint and Coatings Association and the American Composites Manufacturers Association.
For his professional achievements, Mr. Gaither was presented with the Industry Statesman Award from the American Coatings Association and the Chairman's Award from the American Composites Manufacturers Association. He was additionally selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry and Who's Who in America.
Looking towards the future, Mr. Gaither intends to enjoy his well-deserved retirement while continuing to serve on some boards. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Specialty Chemicals International LTD of London UK (the holding company for Polynt Reichhold); a member of the Board of Advisors of the Love School of Business of Elon University; a member of the Board of Directors of the Walthour-Moss Foundation (a land conservancy group) Southern Pines, NC.
He also continues to pursue his hobbies involving breeding and riding horses (www.fvfhorses.com) and skiing.
