FARMINGTON, ME, April 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Smith has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After pursuing coursework in engineering and realizing that field was not for him, Dr. Smith was sitting at the drafting board at Northeastern University, where he believes that God called him to become a minister. Today, he works as a minister for First Congregational Church with the unending support of his family. Additionally, Dr. Smith found success through his work on the church committee for Conference of the United Church.
An expert in his field, Dr. Smith initially pursued an education at the University of Maine, earning a Bachelor of Science. He later obtained a Master's degree from Bangor Theological Seminary. Dr. Smith completed his academic efforts with a Doctorate from Drew University.
Whenever he isn't working, Dr. Smith contributes to those in need through Wilton Downtown Association, the Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry and the Wilton Ecumenical Church Organization. Likewise, he remains affiliated with his community through the Historical Societies of Wilton and Farmington. Looking toward the future, Dr. Smith hopes to enter retirement some day. He has now joined the Lions Club in Wilton because of the good work they do in the community.
