WANAMINGO, MN, April 24, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Diane E. Wilson with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Wilson celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Accruing 33 years of industry experience to her credit, Ms. Wilson has served as a special needs teacher in the Kenyon-Wanamingo School District in Minnesota since 2004. She began her teaching career as a music teacher for grades K-12 within the Herman Norcross Community School District in 1970, remaining in this position for one year before transferring to teach grades K-6 in the Frazee-Vergas Public School District from 1971 to 1973 and grades K-8 at St. Mary's Grade School in Caledonia, Minnesota, from 1986 to 1989. She went on to teach instrumental music within the Caledonia Community Schools from 1989 and 2001 and vocal music to grades 6-12 in the Stewartville School District from 2001 to 2004. In addition to this tenure, Ms. Wilson has also dedicated her time to teaching children with autism.

Prior to embarking on her professional path, Ms. Wilson pursued a formal education at the Rochester Community and Technical College in Minnesota, earning an Associate of Arts in 1968. Following this accomplishment, she attended Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1970. A certified middle school teacher in the state of Minnesota, she became involved in her profession because she was very active in music throughout high school. A member of both the honors choir and the band, Ms. Wilson ultimately decided that was what she wanted to do for the rest of her career.

Active in her local community as well, Ms. Wilson directed the church choir in Caledonia, Minnesota, for two decades. She also chaired the city's Comprehensive Arts Planning Program from 1992 to 1997 and played in the community band in Zumbrota, Minnesota, in 2003. In an effort to keep updated of trends in her field, Ms. Wilson has maintained affiliation with numerous professional organizations including the National Education Association, the Minnesota Education Associa Ion and the Minnesota Music Educators Association.

A listee of Who's Who for Teachers, Ms. Wilson has been selected for inclusion in the 24th and 25th editions of Who's Who of American Women. Today, she resides in Minnesota with her loving husband of 46 years, Wayne Everett Wilson, with whom she has raised four children, Matthew, Marc, Luke and Bethany. She is also the proud grandmother of seven wonderful grandchildren. Ms. Wilson has been known to enjoy quilting, cross stitching, and cross-country skiing in her spare time. She met her husband at Concordia College on a Christian Out reach team. They started singing duets together and continue to this day. "I believe God gives us talents and if we use them, He blesses them. I have been truly blessed."

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ms. Wilson has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
