BRUSH, CO, April 30, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Jacquelyn Higinbotham with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Higinbotham celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Retiring in 2018 after a successful legal career, Ms. Higinbotham was most recently employed as a contract coordinator for the Weld County Department of Human Services. Serving in her role for four years, she also held the title of legal tech manager between 2007 and 2013. Furthermore, Ms. Higinbotham was a deputy district attorney for the 13th Judicial District, a legal assistant for the Department of Corrections, an assistant director for the Caring Ministries of Morgan County, and a staff attorney and managing attorney for 24 years for Colorado Legal Services, beginning in 1979.

One of the greatest moments in Ms. Higinbotham's professional career was when she and several colleagues filed a federal court class action challenging conditions in the local jail as violating the rights of imprisoned citizens. The federal court ordered that a new detention center be built in Morgan County, CO.

Ms. Higinbotham was a longtime member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Christian Legal Society, the Order of the Coif, the Order of Daughters of the King and Phi Theta Kappa. Locally, she served as a former member of the Caring Ministries of Morgan County advisory board between 1986 and 1987 many years before becoming the organization's assistant director.

The recipient of a 10-Year Service Plaque from Weld County, Ms. Higinbotham also received an award for service to the poor from the Colorado Bar Association. She has been showcased in over a dozen editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.

First earning an Associate of Arts from Northeastern Junior College in 1972, Ms. Higinbotham then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in political science from the University of Northern Colorado in 1974. Unable to find a job in her field, she decided to go to law school as many other students in the political science department were doing. She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Colorado in 1978. Soon thereafter, Ms. Higinbotham was admitted to the Colorado Bar, the U.S. District Court of Colorado and the Tenth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Married to her husband Robert Redditt, Ms. Higinbotham has two children, two step children and three grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, playing piano and studying astronomy. She also loves to skate as a fun way to stay active.
