An expert in his field, Dr. Mikolasek has earned a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Michigan. He also pursued postgraduate coursework through the Ohio State University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Mikolasek is affiliated with the New York Academy of Science, the American Chemical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

In a career filled with highlights, Dr. Mikolasek is especially proud of holding the patent for the inter conversion of polymorphic forms of certain medications. For his professional accomplishments, he was presented with research fellowships from the University of Kansas and the University of Michigan.
