She continued studies at the University of California Davis, completing coursework. Ms. Bakhtiar later concluded her academic efforts with executive coursework at the University of California Davis.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bakhtiar has been recognized for her achievements. She has been presented more than 120 medals from competitions at the local and international levels, including the Virginia Governor's Cup. Ms. Bakhtiar also helped to raise $250,000 for the Saint Jude's Children's Hospital's annual fundraiser.
