    PORTLAND, OR, June 07, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ruth Freddie Carleson Robinson with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Carleson celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With 30 years of professional experience to her credit, Ms. Robinson is currently retired, having excelled for the last 29 years of her career as a high school teacher for the Gresham-Barlow School District in Oregon. Prior to attaining this position, she worked for one year with the Hillsboro School District in Oregon, beginning in 1959. In addition to her primary responsibilities, Ms. Robinson has served on the site council for the Sam Barlow High School in Gresham from 1994 to 2002, also holding the post of the chair of the council from 1998 to 2002.

Prior to embarking on her professional path, Ms. Robinson pursued an education at Oregon State University in Corvallis, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 1959. Following this accomplishment, she completed three full years of postgraduate coursework at Oregon State University and Portland State University. In order to remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Robinson has maintained her affiliation with the National Education Association, the Oregon Education Association, the Gresham-Barlow Education Association, the East Multnomah County UniServ, and the American Association of University Women among others organizations.

Born in Salem, Oregon, to Richard Victor and Opal Charlotte Carleson, Ms. Robinson spent many happy years married to her late husband, Kenneth Oliver Robinson. Likewise, she is the proud mother of two children and grandmother to three wonderful grandsons. With a great love of opera, she was a regular contributor to the Portland Opera Association from 1982 to 2014. Enjoying travel in her spare time as well, Ms. Robinson is associated with a number of art museums and gardens, such as the Portland Japanese Garden, the Lan Su Chinese Garden, and the Asian Art Museum, to name a few.
