Patricia J. Budd, Ph.D., Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Dr. Patricia J. Budd has been serving as a part-time psychologist in private practice since 2000.

Supported by 40 years of professional excellence in psychology and academia, Dr. Budd was a secondary school counselor at Whitehall High School in Pennsylvania until 2004 and has been serving as a part-time psychologist in private practice since 2000. Additionally, she has lent her considerable knowledge to Lehigh University in the department of counseling psychology as an adjunct professor from 1994-1998. At the inception of her career in 1969, she joined Phillipsburg High School (NJ) as a secondary English teacher. Over the years she shared her valuable expertise as a workshop or keynote presenter on mental health topics to over a thousand individuals including students at Kutztown and Penn State Universities, the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils, the National Education Association and the American Counseling Association.

A member of the American Psychological Association, Dr. Budd holds a Bachelor of Science from Bloomsburg University, and a Master of Education and Doctor of Philosophy from Lehigh University. To remain abreast of changes in the field, she maintained affiliation with the Pennsylvania School Counselors Association, the American Counseling Association and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. In her spare time, she contributed to her local community through serving on the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Family Violence Task Force and the advisory board of Northampton County Children's Youth and Families Division.

Throughout her career, Dr. Budd has been honored many times, earning features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who of American Women. Looking toward the future, Dr. Budd intends to remain open to retirement, as well as contribute her expertise to volunteering.
