Supported by nearly 50 years of practiced experience in education and science. Dr. Gurosiddaiah is the current director of the Indian Cultural Center, which he founded in 2007. A professor emeritus at Washington State Universitv in Pullman since 1999. He has also served the university as an associate director and scientist since 1986. At the inception of his career in 1971. He was a manager of the Bioanalytical Center at the university for five years before becoming an assistant scientist for the following five vears. From there. Dr. Gurusiddaiah was an associate director and associate scientist from 1986 to 1991 before service as a director and senior scientist for a decade between 1989 and 1999.

During his tenure in education, Dr. Gurusiddaiah served as a visiting scientist at Hoffmann-LaRoche Inc. in Nutley, New Jersey, from 1988 to 1989. A prolific writer and patentee in the field, he has contributed more than 60 articles to scientific journals. Dr. Gurusiddaiah also notably holds patents for various antibiotics, including pantomycins, grahaminycins, treponimycin, chandramycin and wassumycin, among others.

Dr. Gurusiddaiah became involved in his profession when he was living in India. Growing up during a time of famine, he desired to do something to help the Indian community and help grow plants to stop the famine in his area. When he immigrated to the United States for study, funds were available for him to conduct research to find new antibiotics. Initially earning two Bachelor of Science degrees and a Master of Science from the University of Mysore in India between 1958 and 1961, and from 1961 to 1964 he served as a lecturer and Research Scholar of The University Grants Commission of India in the Mysore University. He pursued a Doctor of Philosophy at Washington State University, which he received in 1970. Conducting research in antibiotics during his doctoral studies, Dr. Gurosiddaiah discovered new chemicals to help with diseases in animals, humans and plants.

Happily married to his wife, Gowra Gurusiddaiah, since 1964, Dr. Gurusiddaiah is the proud father of two children, Manjesh and Sudha. He is also a doting grandfather to six wonderful grandchildren: Karina, Nikhil, Maya, Seyjil, Kaveena, and Meera. Born in Chitradurga, Kamataka, India, Dr. Gurusiddaiah currently resides in Pullman, still directing the Indian Cultural, spiritual and a yogic educational center in Pullman Ashram SDDP www.facebook.com/pullmanashram which he started in 2007.
