With nearly 40 years of professional experience to his credit, Mr. Gossett was last active as an industry consultant for Hickory Farms. Prior to this work, he served as the president and chief operating officer of ComPro, Inc., in Medina, Ohio, from 1991 to 1996 and held the same roles with NRM-Steelastic in Akron, Ohio, from 1990 to 1991. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gossett spent three decades with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, starting as a tire builder while attending college and ended his career as an executive vice president.
Having always been determined to be successful no matter his endeavors, Mr. Gossett was introduced to Goodyear through his father, Mr. Kenneth Gossett. This was ultimately one of the reasons he chose to join the company. Having acted as a consultant and mentor to others throughout his career, Mr. Gossett also donated his time as a member of the board for Archbishop Hoben High School in Akron in 1990 and served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army from 1963 to 1966.
Prior to embarking on his career, Mr. Gossett pursued an education at the University of Akron in Ohio, first obtaining a Bachelor of Science in business administration in 1965 before earning a Master of Business Administration in finance in 1970. Following these accomplishments, he went on to complete a graduate level advanced management program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In an effort to remain up to date with developments in his field, Mr. Gossett maintains affiliation with many professional groups.
As a testament to his success in the industry, Mr. Gossett has been featured in the 46th through 50th editions of Who's Who in America. Married to his wife Marion Scott since 1965, he is the proud father of three children: Linda, Ann and Paul. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, golfing and reading.
