Ms. Miller is an accomplished art teacher and artist whose work has been featured in several art shows throughout the United States. Many of her creations have been displayed at Western-themed exhibitions such as Cowgirl Up! at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona, and the Western Interpretations Gallery in Atascadero, California. Other locations where her artwork has been represented include collections at the Stamford Art Foundation, the Haley Memorial Library and J. Evetts Haley History Center, the Judith Hale Gallery, the Cavalry Museum, the Lawrence Gallery, and other private domestic and international locations.
Throughout her career, Ms. Miller has been commissioned to create magnificent pieces of artwork for the City of Paso Robles in California, as well as public figures. In 1965, she was privately contracted by President Ronald Reagan to develop a 20-inch sculpture of his horseback ride during the Pioneer Parade that same year. The sculpture has since been on display at the Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara, California. She was also the artist behind a heroic 8-foot monument sculpture of a fireman and a policewoman for the City of Paso Robles in 2005.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Miller completed coursework at Los Angeles Valley College. Soon thereafter, she attended the Los Angeles Art League and had the opportunity to study under the guidance of artists Hal Reed and Max Turner. She later became an art teacher with the organization. For her achievements in art, Ms. Miller has been the recipient of the Best of Show Award from the San Fernando Valley Art Club, as well as honorable recognitions from the San Gabriel Fine Arts Association and the Death Valley Invitational Show. To remain aware of changes in the field, she maintains a relationship with the professional organization American Women Artists, where she serves as founder.
