ATASCADERO, CA, June 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Vel Miller with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Miller celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Miller is an accomplished art teacher and artist whose work has been featured in several art shows throughout the United States. Many of her creations have been displayed at Western-themed exhibitions such as Cowgirl Up! at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona, and the Western Interpretations Gallery in Atascadero, California. She was also the artist behind a heroic 8-foot monument sculpture of a fireman and a policewoman for the City of Paso Robles in 2005.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Miller completed coursework at Los Angeles Valley College. Soon thereafter, she attended the Los Angeles Art League and had the opportunity to study under the guidance of artists Hal Reed and Max Turner. She later became an art teacher with the organization. For her achievements in art, Ms. Miller has been the recipient of the Best of Show Award from the San Fernando Valley Art Club, as well as honorable recognitions from the San Gabriel Fine Arts Association and the Death Valley Invitational Show. To remain aware of changes in the field, she maintains a relationship with the professional organization American Women Artists, where she serves as founder.
