NORMAN, OK, June 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Wayne Alley with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Wayne Alley celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After operating out of his private law practice with Williams & Alley for two years in the late 1950s, Mr. Alley completed service in the United States Army. He advanced to the rank of brigadier general before retiring from active duty in 1981 as a judge advocate of The Judge Advocate General's Corps. Once he retired from the military, Mr. Alley returned to the field of law in different capacities, working as the dean of the College of Law at the University of Oklahoma and a judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

A hardworking and dedicated professional in law, Mr. Alley holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Stanford University, which he earned in 1952 and 1957, respectively. Although his career has been filled with highlights, one of his proudest moments was the opportunity to serve as an appellate judge during the My Lai Massacre, rendering an opinion against the perpetrator of that atrocity, William Calley. Additionally, he fondly remembers his tenure as the chief of the criminal law division at the Pentagon. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Alley is affiliated with the Oklahoma and Federal Bar Associations.

For his professional and military achievements, Mr. Alley was honored with a Distinguished Service Medal, a Legion of Merit and a Bronze Star. Likewise, he has been featured in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in American Politics. Looking toward the future, Mr. Alley intends to enjoy his well-deserved retirement.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Wayne Alley has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
