John L. Romjue Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Romjue has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a scholar in the field of history



The recipient of a grant under the Fulbright Commission for study at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, Mr. Romjue was later cited in more than 10 editions of Who's Who in America.

    YORKTOWN, VA, June 27, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Authoring several books over a near 20-year period, Mr. Romjue first published "From Active Defense to Airland Battle" in 1984. He then published "Prepare the Army for War" and "The Army of Excellence" in 1993, followed by "American Army Doctrine for the Post-Cold War" in 1996. Other books include "The Black Box: Darwin, Marx, Nietzsche, Freud -Stories" in 2007 and "I, Charles Darwin: Being the Journal of His Visitation to Earth in the Year 2009" in 2011. Mr. Romjue additionally published over 100 reviews of books, articles and short stories in literary, opinion and military journals and newspapers. His fictional literature is penned under the name Nickell John Romjue.

The recipient of a grant under the Fulbright Commission for study at the University of Heidelberg, Germany between 1963 and 1964, Mr. Romjue was later cited in over 10 editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. He notably earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from the University of Missouri in 1962 and a Master of Arts in modern European history and German literature from the University of Missouri in 1963. He also served as a specialist in the U.S. Army between 1957 and 1961.

Growing up, Mr. Romjue's father was an attorney who was very interested in American history. Studying World War facts with his dad at age 11, he developed his own passion for the subject becoming greatly influenced by English and American literature. As time went on, he began exploring military history. Married to Ingeborg Gertrud Schaefer since 1961, Me Romjue is the proud father of two children and grandfather of two grandchildren. In retirement, he is active as a member of the Virginia Writers Club, where he formerly served as first vice president and on the board of governors.
