For an astounding 70 years, Mr. Myer has consulted in the telecommunications industry through Myer Consulting. In the late 1940s, he began his career as a television repairman for West Essex Television before accepting a position with Bell Telephone Laboratory as a technical aide seven years later. Over the years, Mr. Myer found much success with Bell Telephone Laboratories as a senior technical aide, an associate and a member of the technical staff.
Prior to his establishing his own company in 2001, Mr. Myer excelled in a number of positions with Lucent Technologies. An expert in his field, he previously earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Newark College of Engineering, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1967. Throughout his career, Mr. Myer has achieved much, obtaining more than 70 patents as of early 2019 while conducting research in the wireless communications field.
Due to his exemplary professional efforts, Mr. Myer was presented with an AT&T Patent Award. Likewise, he was further celebrated with the Rudolf Kompfner Trophy. Leaving Lucent as a distinguished member of the technical staff and looking toward the future, Mr. Myer intends to continue consulting on behalf of Myer Consulting.
Mr. Myer considers his greatest lifetime achievement his 10 children, 24 grandchildren, 70+ great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren and credits all of his accomplishments by his lifetime activity and service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
