An accomplished attorney with many years of experience to his credit, Mr. Jordan has worked as both prosecution and defense throughout his career. The owner of the Joseph L. Jordan UCMJ Law Group since 2011, he is based out of the Fort Hood and Killeen, Texas, area. Through his law group, he works as a criminal defense attorney, specializing in defending military service members against violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Handling cases all over the world, Mr. Jordan represents soldiers, sailors, coast guardsmen, airmen and marines against allegations of white-collar offenses, rape, sexual assault, attempted murder, manslaughter and many other alleged offenses under the UCMJ.

A judge advocate with the United States Army from 2006 to 2011, Mr. Jordan's other career endeavors include work as an administrative law attorney, an operational law attorney, a claims attorney and a legal assistance attorney. Notably spending time as the interim chief of military justice, he has also contributed his expertise as an Army prosecutor in Korea and at Ford Hood. During his time in the United States Army, Mr. Jordan served in Germany, South Korea, Kuwait, Fort Hood Texas and all across the continental United States.

Prior to embarking on his career in law, Mr. Jordan pursued an education at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies. This was followed by the completion of a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Furthermore, he has had a comprehensive military education as well. Following basic training, Mr. Jordan went on to obtain advanced individual training as an automated logistical specialist. An Army ROTC graduate from Pittsburg State University, he has also completed a judge advocate basic training course, a brigade judge advocate mission primer and a collateral damage estimation course.

To remain abreast of developments in his field, Mr. Jordan maintains affiliation with a number of professional organizations. An active member of the American Bar Association, he has also involved himself with the organization's Criminal Law Section and Litigation Section. Additionally, he holds further membership with the Arkansas Bar Association and the Military Law Section of the Texas Bar Association.

For excellence in his career, Mr. Jordan has received a number of recognitions over the years. Notably, the cases for which he has served as defense counsel have been covered by Fox News, ABC News, Anderson Cooper, The Wall Street Journal and numerous local and military affiliated newspapers. He also holds an Avvo rating of 10 and was presented with the Avvo Clients' Choice Award in 2018. In 2015, Mr. Jordon was named to the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys' 10 Best in Client Satisfaction and, since 2012, he has also been featured in Top 40 under 40 and Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers.

Living by the motto "The Separation is in the Preparation" Mr. Jordan finds preparing a case for trial and then going on to execute the process of the trial to be incredibly enjoyable and fulfilling. Furthermore, while facing the government can be daunting, he considers it very exciting to be able to stand up for the little guy against such a powerful body. Ultimately, however, his mission for his clients is help them achieve the best possible outcome in their case. Looking towards the future, Mr. Jordan sees himself transitioning his firm to someone else, but remaining affiliated to advise and provide oversight. He would like to be able to dedicate more of his time to writing. He is currently working on two books.

Outside his primary responsibilities, Mr. Jordan has also donated his time in his community as well. Acting as a football coach in a number of capacities, he was the co-founder, defensive coordinator and assistant head coach of the Temple Panthers and spent time as a quarterback coach in 2014. For two seasons, he also contributed as an assistant long distance track coach. A devout Baptist as well, Mr. Jordan has served as a member of the personnel committee with the First Baptist Church of Killeen.
