Janice Crabtree Wilson, PhD, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

An accomplished listee, Dr. Wilson celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. A management consultant and vice president at the Pacer Group in Dayton ,Ohio, for six years, Dr. Wilson also held various positions with the NCR Corporation in Dayton for nine years and led an impressive career in education for nearly two decades. Originally teaching English in the Ohio public school system and Wright State University in Dayton, Dr. Wilson then taught in the Boonshoft School of Medicine and served as assistant director of the University Honors Program at Wright State University. She retired in 2002 from a position as curriculum director at Beavercreek Schools in Ohio.

An accomplished writer, Dr. Wilson authored a piece of short fiction entitled "Washed in the Blood of the Lamb" in 1982. Later, she served as an associate editor of "A Comprehensive Bibliography for the Study of American Minorities" in 1986. Dr. Wilson contributed numerous articles to journals in the fields of medicine, engineering, education and literary criticism, as well as short stories.

Throughout her career, Dr. Wilson has participated in numerous civic engagements. She was president of the board of directors of The Antioch Writers Workshop and served on the boards of the Xenia Area Community Theater, the Friends of the Greene County Public Library, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Dayton, Ohio. Also serving on the board of directors and the investment committee of the Greene County Historical Society, she was on the board of directors and acted as camp director for Easter Seals in Xenia. Dr. Wilson has been active with the Woman's Club of Xenia since 2012.

Highly educated, Dr. Wilson first earned a Bachelor of Arts at Berea College in Kentucky, followed by a Master of Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1964. After spending several decades in the field, she went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy in American Literature at the University of Cincinnati in 1990. More recently, she completed studies with the Antioch Writers Workshop in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and the Appalachian Writers Workshop in Hindman, Kentucky.
In order to keep abreast of developments in her field, Dr. Wilson holds professional affiliation with the Association for Training and Development and the American Society for Quality. Notably the recipient of two Taft fellowships from the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Cincinnati between 1977 and 1979, she has also been a celebrated Marquis listee featured in the 22nd edition of Who's Who in the Midwest.
