An American artist and innovator of the flow painting technique, Robert Katona has presented his work in group shows at a number of museums

At a very young age, Mr. Katona became interested in the arts. As he grew up, his parents and college professors provided him with the encouragement he needed to develop as an artist. After attending the University of Colorado, Mr. Katona had the honor of exhibiting his work in solo shows and group shows throughout the country.

Mr. Katona is also represented in permanent collections at the U.S. Air Force Academy and in various corporate and private collections. An American artist and innovator of the flow painting technique, he has presented his work in group shows at a number of museums, including the Museum of Art in Munich in 1982, the Taipei Museum of Fine Arts in 1983 and the Grace Harkin Gallery and Fine Arts Museum of Long Island in 1989. He was further highlighted in solo exhibitions for Gallery One, Chabot Gallery, Fillmore Plaza Gallery and C. Anthony Gallery.

An experienced falconer, Mr. Katona was the first artist in North America to paint falconry art. Notably, his knowledge of birds of prey has led him to make illustration contributions to the Raptor Research Foundation, The Peregrine Fund and North American Falconers Association. Mr. Katona's versatility has gained him worldwide recognition, as well as many awards for his work, including the Prize for Graphic from Grolla D'Oro International in 1970 and the Jenkins Award from the Gilpin County Arts Association in 1974.
