An accomplished listee, Mr. Rappleye celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. With over 40 years of experience in the field of finance, Mr. Rappleye celebrates a career built on excellence and an intuitive understanding of his chosen profession. Shortly after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, he began his career as an auditor with Deloitte in 1962. During his time in this role he completed a year at Boston University School of Theology as a Rockefeller Fellow and obtained a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1965, which helped affect his advancement to the position of management consultant in 1967. Mr. Rappleye affiliated with Deloitte in this capacity until 1971, whereupon he was offered the position of director of finance and administration by the United Dairy Industry Association. Because of his abundant expertise, he eventually rose to become executive vice president of the company in 1973.

Mr. Rappleye continued his professional journey with Florists' Transworld Delivery in 1974, serving as assistant to the executive vice president until the following year, when he became director of finance and administration until 1980. Following his departure from Transworld Delivery, he was briefly active as assistant treasurer of Erb Lumber Company in Birmingham, before accepting an appointment as vice president and chief financial officer until 1983. At this time, Mr. Rappleye decided to take his skills into the nonprofit sector, further building on his laudable reputation as vice president and secretary-treasurer of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, with whom he associated until 2003.

Amid his philanthropic work, Mr. Rappleye served two separate appointments as a lecturer for students in finance at the University of Michigan-Flint, and in leadership at Lawrence Tech University. He obtained a Master of Religious Studies at the University of Detroit Mercy in 1997. He concluded his career as a program officer with the Kresge Foundation between 2003 and 2005 and as Vice President of Administration until 2013. Though he has officially exited the world of finance, he continues to be a trustee of the Michigan State Bar Foundation.

A CPA, Mr. Rappleye naturally maintains membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is additionally a 33rd degree Mason and a member of the Theosophical Society, as well as Rotary International. He mentors with SCORE, a charitable organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs thrive. Finally, he continues to do coaching and consulting, and leads group sessions on having a Purposeful Retirement. An adherent of Unitarian Universalism, Mr. Rappleye has been married to his wife, Karen, for more than 50 years, and is the proud father of two children and grandfather of four wonderful grandchildren.
