PALMETTO BAY, FL, July 12, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Elaine Sloane Roemer with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mrs. Roemer celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. From 1959 through 1980, Mrs. Roemer taught in the Dade County Schools on a full-time basis. She taught in all grades 1-12. She also worked as a district mathematics teacher, in the gifted program in both elementary and junior high schools, and as a Curriculum Specialist in the elementary schools. During this time, she did contributory writing on the high school Business Mathematics textbook and workbook revision published by McGraw-Hill, and used in the Dade County Schools. Her teaching certification has been extensive, including in the fields of Elementary Education, Business Education, Mathematics (Grades 5-9), Economics, Vocation Education, and Administration and Supervision (Grades K-12).
Mrs. Roemer then taught until 1992 on a part-time basis in adult education at Miami Senior High School, at Miami-Dade Community College, Florida International University, and Homestead Air Force Base. Her part-time teaching was primarily in the fields of mathematics and business education. She set up the initial Learning Support Services Lab course in Mathematics for Miami Dade Community College.
In 1978 Mrs. Roemer also began working in real estate. Her initial work was in property management and investment. She became a licensed real estate broker, which she has continued working in until the present. During her time in this field she worked on the Board of Directors of the Kendall Perrine Association (1992-1995). During this period she served one term as president of the organization, and one term as treasurer. In 1987 she contributed an article on mortgage prepayment that appeared in the Miami Herald. She also spoke on numerous occasions to the City of Miami and City of Miami Beach on the subject of retirement and relocation.
Mrs. Roemer also was a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) through 2009.
