An accomplished listee, Mr. Dorr celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. With more than 40 years of experience in writing to his credit, Mr. Dorr has become an authority in his industry and currently writes fiction and poetry in Bloomington, Indiana. Previously active with the Wrubel Computing Center, he excelled as a technical writer from 1969 to 1974, a chief technical writer from 1974 to 1979 and an editor from 1970 to 1981. He later worked as an associate editor of Bloomington Area Magazine from 1983 to 1986 and as a writer and marketing consultant at the Stackworks in 1982. Prior to becoming a writer, Mr.Dorr pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1964 and a Master of Arts from Indiana University in 1968.

Greatly inspired by the work of Edgar Allan Poe, Ray Bradbury, Allen Ginsburg and Bertolt Brecht, Mr. Dorr has contributed more than 800 creative works to magazines and anthologies throughout his career. Notably, he has authored a number of books, including "Tombs: A Chronicle of Latter-Day Times of Earth" in 2017, "Darker Loves: Tales of Mystery and Regret" in 2007 and "Strange Mistresses: Tales of Wonder and Romance" in 2001, among others. A particularly proud point of Mr. Dorr's career was writing "The Tears of Isis" in 2013; he considers it one of his best works.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Dorr remains aware of the changes and advancements in his industry through relevant organizations. A member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, he holds further membership with the Horror Writers Association, the Science Fiction Poetry Association and the Short Mystery Fiction Society. Alongside his primary career endeavors, Mr. Dorr has been active civically as well, spending time on the Bloomington Traffic Commission from 1974 to 1986.

In light of his many achievements in the field, Mr. Dorr has received a number of awards and accolades throughout his career. He was notably a finalist for the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Fiction Collection and has been a finalist for the Rhysling Award for Speculative Poetry on numerous occasions. Furthermore, Mr. Dorr has previously been featured in several editions of Who's Who in Entertainment and Who's Who in the Midwest.
