Gregory E. Myers Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Leading an impressive career in engineering for more than 30 years, Mr. Myers was first taken on board with Honeywell International Inc. in 1987 as an aerospace engineer of the Sperry Commercial Flight Systems Group. Serving in various roles including commercial airline flight management systems test engineer and International Space Station Multiplexer-Demultiplexer Systems & Test engineer, he went on to work for the Orbital Science Corp. (, which later merged with Alliant Techsystems Inc. before being renamed Orbital ATK Inc.) in Chandler, Arizona as the lead systems-software test engineer for the Missile Defense Agency's Ground-Based Missile Defense Program (GMD). Mr. Myers is currently a senior principal systems engineer. Orbital ATK has since notably merged with the Northrop Grumman Corp., an aerospace and defense technology corporation in Gilbert, Arizona.

During his tenure at the Orbital Science Corp., Mr. Myers played an active role in the successful flight of the NASA Hyper X Launch Vehicle. Also a regular contributor of articles to professional journals ("AAS Advances in Astrodynamics" in 1983), he is an experienced presenter in his field (37th International Instrument Symposium in 1991) as well. Furthermore, Mr. Myers served as a member of the research advisory panel for Active Aviation Week between 1990 and 1991.

Highly educated, Mr. Myers is an alumnus of the University of Michigan in Ann Abor, where he received a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering in 1981. Following this accomplishment, he attended the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, Ohio, where he completed a Master of Science in aerospace engineering in 1982. From 1981 to 1986 he was primarily stationed at Vandenberg AFB as a space shuttle operations manager. In an effort to remain up to date with developments in field, Mr. Myers is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

In his community, Mr. Myers served as president of Bethlehem Lutheran Church's pre-school oversight committee in 2009 and received a certificate of recognition and appreciation in 1983 from the Lompoc Valley Festival Association for his involvement with the event.

For excellence in his career, Mr. Myers received a number of honors and accolades throughout the years. Not only did he receive a certificate of appreciation from the International Society of Automation in 1991, he also received the NASA Langley Research Center Group Achievement Award (Hyper-X Flight 3 Team) in 2004, the NASA Administrator's "Turning Goals into Reality" Award (Hyper-X Program Team) in 2005 and the OrbitalATK Star Award (Above & Beyond, GMD Program) in 2017. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Myers has been featured in numerous editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
