David Buell has excelled as the owner and an engineer of Reel to Real Studios in Dallas since 2015.

A talented audio engineer who has been serving the recording industry for close to three decades, Mr. Buell has excelled as the owner and an engineer of Reel to Real Studios in Dallas since 2015. Providing a variety of audio services to customers, including audio recording, editing and mixing for radio, television and all types of audio projects as well as audio file conversions and DAT and CD transfers. Reel to Real has been involved with projects with some of the most recognizable names in business, working with clients in nearly every industry, including Bank of America, Barnes and Noble, Disney, Southwest Airlines and Harrah's Casino.

Prior to owning his business, Mr. Buell found success as an audio engineer at Real to Reel Recording Studios between 1998 and 2015. He also served as an audio post-production engineer for James Neel Music House and the chief engineer for Omega Audio and Productions. Previously freelancing as an engineer and a voice talent, he had been active as a recording engineer for several other local companies in Dallas and Denton. Initially, he sought a bachelor's degree at North Texas State University in 1977. Mr. Buell subsequently earned a diploma from the College for Recording Arts in San Francisco in 1978.

Honored by the Recording Industry Association of America, Mr. Buell was presented with a Gold Record Award in 1987 and a Platinum Record Award in 1988. He also accepted an Ampex Gold Reel Award from the Ampex Corporation in 1987. The highlight of his career, however, was when he received a Grammy nomination for an album that he mixed for the North Texas State Lab Band. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Buell has been featured in the first and second editions of Who's Who in Entertainment.
