A retired elementary school teacher of more than three decades, Ms. Wright originally taught at Upson Elementary School in Euclid, Ohio, for two years beginning in 1953. She then taught regular education courses, art and music at Schuylkill Elementary School in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, for the remainder of her career until 1996.

Ms. Wright has served her local community for many years. She is a former member of the alumni board of directors and former president at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She also served as a deacon at her church. Ms. Wright has notably been serving on the Phoenixville Community Concert Board since 1986.

A graduate of AD Eisenhower High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Ms. Wright was valedictorian of the Class of 1949. She soon after completed a Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, at Cedar Crest College in 1953. Upon earning her degree, she took additional coursework to become a teacher and numerous arts classes to teach the subject at the elementary school level. Ms. Wright is notably a certified teacher in Pennsylvania.

Ms. Wright is a member of the National Education Association and the Pennsylvania Education Association and a member and past president of Delta Kappa Gamma, a professional society for women educators. During her career, Ms. Wright was nominated by one of her students for having influenced his life in a positive way. A celebrated Marquis listee, she has been featured in the 49th and 50th editions of Who's Who in America, the fourth through sixth editions of Who's Who in American Education, and the 19th and 20th editions of Who's Who of American Women.
