Judith Dozier Hackman Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Education

Dr. Hackman provides decades of educational expertise as provost of The Graduate Institute



    WOODBRIDGE, CT, July 25, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Judith Dozier Hackman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. An esteemed educator, Dr. Hackman serves as a provost for The Graduate Institute, with which she began in 2016. Previously, she found success with two separate appointments as an associate dean for Yale University from 1998 to 2015, and 1987 to 1995. She additionally maintained involvement with the aforementioned university as director of the teaching fellow program for the Yale Graduate School from 1999 until 2015. Antecedently, she held the position of director of institutional research between 1979 and 1987, and director of the criteria study from 1971 to 1973. Dr. Hackman's inaugural roles in the field were that of a teacher for Oakwood High School from 1963 to 1966, and a researcher at Yale between 1966 and 1971.

Before entering the field of education, Dr. Hackman attended MacMurray College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois. In 1970, she subsequently obtained a Master of Science from Southern Connecticut State University, before earning a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Michigan in 1983. Dr. Hackman maintains her professional alignment with the Association for Institutional Research, the North East Association of Institutional Research, the Association for the Study of Higher Education, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and the Society of College and University Planning. In civic affairs, she contributes her time and resources to the Neighborhood Music School and MacMurray College.

Dr. Hackman has received numerous accolades for her many accomplishments, including the Outstanding Alumnus Award from Southern Connecticut State University, and the Best Dissertation Award through the University of Michigan. She has likewise been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who of American Women, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. In her spare time, Dr. Hackman enjoys playing the baritone horn.
