Mr. McCollum is a veteran attorney and former Florida attorney general and congressman. Since 2011, he has been a partner in the Washington D.C. office of Dentons, the world's largest law firm. Focusing his practice on corporate compliance and investigations; complex state legal, regulatory and legislative matters; state anti-trust law enforcement; multi-state investigations and litigation; and public policy, Mr. McCollum also advises and assists companies with disruptive new technologies. He has represented and consulted for companies across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. He Co-chairs the firm's U.S. State Attorney General Practice.

As Attorney General of Florida between 2007 and 2011, Mr. McCollum led the challenge by a large group of state attorneys general to the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, positioned Florida as a national leader in the fight against child pornography and internet child predators and championed a wide range of consumer protection causes from claims coming out of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill to combating mortgage fraud and Medicaid fraud. He was Florida's 36th attorney general. Mr. McCollum formerly served as a partner at Baker & Hostetler LLP in Orlando, and Washington, DC, between 2001 and 2006 and was a litigation partner at Pitts, Eubanks & Ross, P.A., in Orlando between 1973 and 1980. In between those years, Mr. McCollum was a member of U.S. House of Representatives. He served the Eighth District of Florida in Washington from 1993 to 2001 and the Fifth District of Florida in Washington from 1981 to 1993.

During Mr. McCollum's service in Congress from 1981 to 2001, he was a member of the Judiciary, Banking and Financial Services and Intelligence Committees. He held several leadership positions, including Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Chair of the Intelligence Subcommittee on Human Intelligence, Analysis and Counterintelligence and Vice chair of the Banking and Financial Services Committee. He was also a ranking member of the subcommittee overseeing the Federal Reserve, founder and Chair of the House Task Force on Terrorism and Vice chair of the House Republican Conference for three terms.

Since 2013, he has served as Chair of the Republican State Leadership Committee, a section 527 organization, Mr. McCollum is former President and Chair of Healthy Florida Foundation and former Chair of the Seminole County Republican Party. He also served on the Board of Governors for the State University System of Florida, was a board member of Enterprise Florida and a board of directors member of the James Madison Institute.

Active with numerous professional organizations relative to his work, Mr. McCollum is a longstanding member of the Florida Bar and a former executive council member of the Orange County Bar Association. From 2011-2019, he served as a member of the University of Florida Law Center Association Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the Naval Reserve Association, the Reserve Officers Association, the Kiwanis Club or Orlando, the American Legion and several honor societies. In addition he serves on the Board of Directors of Dais Corporation and Advanced Magnet Labs.

Mr. McCollum has been showcased in more than 75 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in American Politics. He received a Bachelor of Arts in 1965 and Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1968 at the University of Florida. He has since been admitted to the Florida and D.C. Bar Associations. Mr. McCollum served on active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1972 and retired from the Naval Reserve as a Commander in 1992. He served 23 years as an officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.
