POTOMAC, MD, July 26, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Wang An-Ming with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Wang celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since 1951, Ms. Wang has been a prominent composer who has further excelled as a freelance musician. Initially exposed to Western music after her parents brought it home to her native country of China, she discovered a passion for the piano, having been influenced by her mother, who played the piano in her spare time. Although it was uncommon in that era for women to become composers, she felt compelled to create original compositions and pursued her ambitions by immigrating to the United States to study music. Prior to embarking on her professional path, Ms. Wang has earned a Bachelor of Education from Central China University, a Bachelor of Music from the Wesleyan Conservatory and a Master of Arts in music education from Columbia University.

Ms. Wang's prestigious works include "Songs for All Seasons," "Concerto for Piano and Orchestra," "Requiem for Chorus, Orchestra," "The Song of Endless Sorrow," "Gloria for Chorus and Orchestra" and "Lan Ying," an opera in three acts. She has published several compositions, such as "East Wind for Flute and Piano," "Fantasy for Solo Organ," "Dazzling Jewels for High Voice and Piano," "Kapalua for Flute and Piano," "The Christmas Gift for Chorus and Keyboard/Orchestra." Likewise, she composed a ballet suite , "The Homeless Child." More recent works to Ms. Wang's credit include "Ocean Medley" in 2016, "Woodwind Octet" in 2018 and "A Child of Grace" in 2019.

Among the notable highlights of her career, Ms. Wang recalls writing the opera piece for "Lan Ying" as a crowning achievement. She notes that although the music process was quite difficult, it was also rewarding and gratifying. Likewise, Ms. Wang's composition "Fantasy for Solo Organ" was distributed across the globe by Calvert Johnson, a highly renowned organist.

Ms. Wang remains aware of developments in the music industry through her affiliation with several organizations. She is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the International Alliance for Women in Music, Society of Composers, the League of American Pen Women and the National Federation of Music Clubs. In addition, Ms. Wang is associated with the American Music Center, the Friday Morning Music Club and Sigma Alpha Iota.

As a testament to her success, Ms. Wang has amassed myriad accolades. Recognized by the League of American Pen Women for "Lang Ying," she also accepted the Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council. Furthermore, Ms. Wang was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ms. Wang has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
