Having accumulated more than 38 years of professional experience, Mr. Nguyen serves as the director of process engineering for UniversalPegasus International, with which he maintains responsibility for recruiting, training, performance evaluation, budgeting, planning, supervision of all process design activities. He additionally oversees technical support for proposals and business development. Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Nguyen has provided his expertise to a plethora of projects, including the Newfield Exploration Company Utah Oil Stabilization, the Enbridge Gas Processing and Compression Station project in Venice, Louisiana, the White Rose FPSO for Husky Energy, offshore Newfoundland, Canada, and the Offshore Production Platform for PEMEX in the bay of Campeche, Mexico.
Prior to obtaining his current role, Mr. Nguyen served as a process engineering manager for Jacobs Engineering from 2004 until 2013, a process manager for Aker Kvearner between 1994 and 2004, a senior process engineer for Litwin from 1991 to 1994, and a senior process engineer for Davy McKee from 1989 to 1991. His inaugural position in the field was that of a senior process engineer for BP Chemicals from 1981 until 1989. Mr. Nguyen graduated from Virginia Tech University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering – Magna Cum Laude. He was a proud member of the honorable society of Tau Beta Pi. He subsequently pursued coursework in chemical engineering at Cleveland State University.
An immigrant from Vietnam to the United States, Mr. Nguyen attributes his success to parents who inspired him to attend school and university, thus bequeathing unto him the knowledge he would need to advance far in process engineering. Mr. Nguyen stays at the edge of the technologies by participating in oil and gas conferences and seminars. He dedicates himself to learning new interpersonal skills and advancements in technology every month.
