An endocrinologist and an educator, Dr. Hudson celebrates close to 40 years in medicine. Presently, she is an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School in Boston. On the staff of Brigham and Women's Hospital since 2004, she instructs students in endocrinology, diabetes, hypertension, and women's health. Moreover, Dr. Hudson provides her skills as a physician of endocrinology, particularly the management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome at The Gretchen S. and Edward A. Fish Center for Women's Health, a multi-specialty practice at the Brigham and Women's Health Care Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She maintains a special interest and expertise in pre-diabetes and diabetes management as well as helping patients with weight management.

She has witnessed the development and improvement of the diabetes program at Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico during this time. She has also worked to establish two diabetes and endocrinology programs in Cambodia, at the Community Medical Center of HOPE Worldwide in Phnom Penh and ad the Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital in Kampot.
For training, Dr. Hudson earned a Doctor of Medicine at Tufts University in 1979. Dr. Hudson has completed her education in the form of a residency in internal medicine at the Michael Reese Medical Center in Chicago, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Boston University Medical Center and a fellowship in diabetes at the Joslin Clinic and general endocrinology at Boston University Medical Center. She has since become board certified in endocrinology, metabolism and internal medicine.
A contributor of numerous scholarly journals in her area of expertise, Dr. Hudson has authored several book chapters. Likewise, she was an editor for the 2015 book "Hyperglycemia in the Hospital Setting." Affiliated with several professional organizations, Dr. Hudson remains active as a member of the American Diabetes Association, the Endocrine Society of America and the Massachusetts Medical Society. Named a Top Doctor by Boston Magazine in 2019 and to America's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly since 2012, Dr. Hudson is also a celebrated Marquis listee who has been cited in the 67th through 70th editions of Who's Who in America.
