Accumulating more than 40 years of experience in electrical engineering. Mr. Black has become an authority in the field of electrical engineering. He has held a host of positions and has attained patents in his discipline. Prior to his success, he began his formal education by earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1971. Mr. Black subsequently obtained his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1972, initiating his career. As an undergraduate at the University of Kansas he was admitted to the technical honor societies Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi.

Mr. Black is versed in all aspects of electrical engineering, with focus on analog circuit and power supply design. Establishing his career as a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Telephone Laboratories in New Jersey, he later became an Associate, Senior Associate, Staff and Advisory engineer with IBM at Boulder, Colorado and Kingston, New York. He then transitioned to National Semiconductor, Santa Clara, California as Section Head of the Offline applications group. He next became manager of the Power Conversion Department at Sun Microsystems in Menlo Park, California. At the time he managed the group, it was the largest power organization within Sun. He concluded his career as manager of the Discrete Applications Department at Fairchild Semiconductor in San Jose, California.

In 2014. Mr. Black retired as the manager of the discrete applications department for the Fairchild Semiconductor.

Early in his career, Mr. Black presented papers at multiple IBM internal technical seminars. He then went on to present technical papers at a variety of professional conferences including APEC, PESC, and IMAPS. His designs have appeared in a wide range of products from an IBM mainframe computer to the PlayStation. He holds three patents in the field of analog power design.

Recognized for excellence and achievement in his career. Mr. Black has been included in several publications of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.

Apart from his positions in electrical engineering. Mr. Black has contributed his time to his community. From 1982 to 1984. He volunteered as a scoutmaster the Boy Scouts of America. Although now retired. Mr. Black remains informed of the latest news and advancements in the industry.
