Prior to founding Clear Trust Mortgages, Mr. Afan served as the regional sales manager for the Mobile Mortgage Specialist Division of TD Canada Trust from 2003 and 2011. Earlier in his career, he held the role of regional sales manager with Scotiabank from 1993 to 2002. Beginning his career after his family moved to Canada in the late 1980s, he worked as a realtor from 1988 to 1993.
Before embarking on his career, Mr. Afan studied at Ateno de Manila University in the Philippines. Believing strongly in teamwork and success stemming from the people you surround yourself with, he is respected in the areas of mortgage lending, residential mortgages, and banking.
Widely recognized for accomplishments, Mr. Afan was featured in "Passion Play: Robert Afan and His Risk to Success," which appeared in the Philippine Canadian Inquirer in 2018.
