Kathryn Ann McGhee Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    SEMINOLE, FL, August 19, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Ms. McGhee with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. McGhee celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Now retired, Ms. McGhee most recently found success as the chief operating officer for the Pinellas Association for Retarded Children (PARC) – a non-profit organization serving 800 children and adults in St. Petersburg with disabilities. She served PARC from 1976 to 1982 in a variety of roles including vice president. In 1983 she moved to Lincoln Learning Labs in Clearwater and then rejoined PARC in 1992. She retired in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer.

A graduate of the University of the Connecticut, Ms. McGhee earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1966. Furthermore, she concluded her studies with a Master of Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University in 1981. To remain aware of developments in the field, Ms. McGhee maintains her affiliation with the American Management Association, the National Association for Female Executives, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Cypress Initiative, Inc.

Upon retirement, Ms. McGhee became a full time stone sculptor and later a clay sculptor and a jeweler until 2018. Civically, she contributed as an ambassador for United Way and a member of the advancement board for the Junior League in Pinellas County. Achievements to Ms. McGhee's credit include her creations being displayed at the Dunedin Fine Arts Museum and several of her sculptures being donated as well as purchased. For her accomplishments in the field, she was named "Champion of the Year," by the Florida Association for Rehabilitation Facilities in 2007. Likewise, Ms. McGhee was featured in multiple editions of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
