Sara "Sally" Graff Cooke Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    FLOURTOWN, FL, August 22, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Sara "Sally" Graff Cooke with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Cooke celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With nearly 60 years of professional experience to her credit, Ms. Cooke excelled as a class secretary from 2000 to 2019. Prior to this role, she worked as a coordinator of the Elderhostel program for the Landmarks Society from 1992 to 1993 and both a coordinator and a master of educational ceremonies for the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks from 1991 to 1993. Ms. Cooke previously held a number of positions with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, including as a fundraiser from 1989 to 1992 and a president of the women's committee from 1987 to 1988.

From 1980 to 1986, Ms. Cooke found success with FCI Marketing Coordinators, Inc., having served as a teacher with the Tarleton School from 1963 to 1964. She was previously active as a teacher with the Chestnut Hill Academy from 1962 to 1963 and with Sara Bircher's Kindergarten from 1958 to 1962. Ms. Cooke began her career as an assistant to the first grade teacher at the Woodlyn School from 1956 to 1958.

Ms. Cooke initially pursued an education at the Madeira School, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1953. She continued her studies at Bennett College, earning an Associate of Arts in 1955. Ms. Cooke concluded her academic efforts at the West Chester State Teachers College, graduating with a Bachelor of Education in child education in 1956.

Throughout her career, Ms. Cooke has been celebrated for her contributions to the field. A nominee of the Pennsylvania Society, she was presented with an Award from the Blue Bell Republican Headquarters of the McCain-Palin Campaign and a Silver Cup Award from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Likewise, Ms. Cooke has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.

She was an active member of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church from 1985 to 2019. She served as an usher and taught Sunday School to five and six year olds at Chestnut Hill Sunday School from 1990 to 2015.

Ms. Cooke is the mother of five children including two sets of fraternal twins. All five children (Anna, Peter, Beth, Laina and Sara) are successful citizens themselves. All live nearby, except Beth, who resides in Sydney, Australia.
